2011 OPEN ENROLLMENT DATES TO REMEBER
NOVEMBER 15-DECEMBER 31: As a Medicare beneficiary, you can choose from different Medicare options. One option is the fee-for-service Medicare plan. Another option is a Medicare Advantage plan. You may have other options too. Make a right choice and choose the best plan for you.
This is the time you may select, enroll into any Medicare Advantage Plan, select and enroll into Part D drug plan for the coming year.
JANUARY 1-FEBRUARY 14: During this 45 day period, Medicare beneficiaries may disenroll from their current Medicare Advantage plan, but only to return to Original Medicare. The beneficiary can select a PDP for Part D coverage. After February 15th, Medicare beneficiaries are "locked in" to their health plan of choice for the remainder of the year.
EXCEPTION: Medicare and Medi-Cal (Medi-Medi) members can enroll and disenroll on a monthly basis.
